Dear Training and Learning
& Development Heads,
In our last write up, we spoke
about a Training/ L&D & HR’s role to better understand how to engage
their employees during this slowdown, hence in our Part 2 , we wish to share
with you on What Should You Focus On.
Research shows www.digitalscholarship.univ.edu
that although during times like this when large companies are cost cutting,
laying off employees and compromising, Asian firms unlike Western companies are
focusing on training and development of their employees. The, Training/ L&D
& HR teams should choose relevant
cost effective methods of training such as Coaching programs, Informal
Learning, E-Learning, Distance Learning, Tutorial Videos for training line
managers and employees. The blend of various methods can make training cost
effective as well as beneficial in increasing productivity of the organization.
Another research www.wbiconpro.com/420-%20Albahussain.pdf.
by Saudi large private organizations have said that: 19 HR mangers out of 34
(55.9%) have introduced staff development programs during a recession.
15 (44.1%) of HR Managers have introduces staff
training assistance programs for the enhancements of their employees performances.
Hope the above helps.
Until our next sharing folks!
Regards, Research team of TLMM
