Workplace Learning of Yesterday & Today

Think 10 years ago, and the below pointers can probably be summarised about how traditional learners learned. Should you have more Gen Ys in your company, hence your strategies should be customized for 'todays learners'.

Yesterday Learners
Read Books – participants were only encouraged to read books before attending a classroom teaching
Loved classroom trainings – participants loved attending classroom trainings because of how the instructor led
Upgradation was critical – participants level of learning observation were all valued at the same pace with litte or no technology

Today’s Learners
Learn by Doing – participants interact and have fun
Short attention spans – participants shift to E-Learning
Comfortable sharing information – participants are collaborative in learning
