The Trainer as a Storyteller

Telling stories are powerful ways to relate to others.  We have observed that many trainers who achieve well in their trainings often relate their teachings to stories.  It is a powerful vehicle that top leaders use to get their message across with maximum impact and minimum resistance.
Hence here are 2 tips on how to get trainers you choose to tell stories:
    
     Become aware if the Participants before telling the story
The first reason is that many trainers are not aware that stories can serve many purposes, such as:
  • Introducing Yourself 
  • the right story can position and allow other to define you.
  • Communicating your Vision
  • as a trainer you have a mission to do in the workshop and this makes an effective trainer.

2   Have proper Communication
    
    Stories are appropriate for business communication.  Conveying a story during a workshop training enhances the communication better.

With the tips above, you can make your trainers to deliver more effective trainings. Instead of using only data, facts and statements, a great leaders can connect with his participants and deliver a powerful message through storytelling.
