What is the Reality of Training Today?
Dear HR, Training and L&D Champions,
What is the Reality of Training Today?
Imagine monthly you have to organise and strategise trainings but end up hearing that the trainings you have organised is not effective as the employees did not apply this back at workplace.
Who will your management blame first?
The trainer?  What if he is the best trainer you have sourced and the scorings are high
The content?  What if the content was customised to meet the outcomes
The learning retention?….a..hah!
Here are the numbers:
1.  Only 5% of learners complete their training (excluding mandatory training).
2. Learners forget 87% of training within one month.
3. Learners lose 80% of new skills within one week of training if they don’t use them.
So how are we still getting training wrong? Corporate training programs are designed in a way that’s inherently flawed, focusing mainly on passive content delivery. 
The answer is: Action-based learning that helps bridge the gap between theory and practice and leads to a knowledge retention rate that’s 18 times higher.
Time to ponder: Now its time to design  best Action Based Learning strategies for each training program you organise.
