Is It TRUE? People remember 10% of What we read

Dear HR, Training and L&D,
Remember a time when you just could not remember that point? TLMM team has faced this countless times. So we decided to find out why we can't remember what we read?
Is it TRUE? People remember 10% of what we read
Fortunately, wisdom has come down through the ages, from Aristotle to Pliny the Elder to Sophocles to Confucius. This wisdom can be best summarized as that people remember:
  • 10 percent of what they READ
  • 20 percent of what they HEAR
  • 30 percent of what they SEE
  • 50 percent of what they SEE and HEAR
  • 70 percent of what they SAY and WRITE
  • 90 percent of what they DO.
Is this TRUE? We are still doing test on ourselves to ensure this is rubbish and one human can certainly remember if the environment and the person permits it.
Until my next sharing,
