An Interesting Training Methodology: Enclothed Cognition

Dear HR, Training and L&D folks,
An Interesting Training Methodology: Enclothed Cognition
A recent method TLMM came across that we wish to share is called ENCLOTHED COGNITION.
On Google description: Enclothed Cognition Refers to the "systematic influence that clothes have on the wearer's psychological processes" (Adam & Galinsky, 2012).

So what is this about:
Basically, it is how a piece of clothing you choose to wear affects your own perspective towards yourself and your own behaviour.
What is the outcome of ENCLOTHED COGNITION to your (participants) training methodology:
1. It helps with controlled attention and problem-solving.
>For example, if your participant (employee) uses a doctor’s coat and a painter’s coat, the doctor's coat participant would be more attentive and solve problems faster with lesser error when compared to the participant in the painter’s coat.
2. It helps with how you think about yourself.
>For example, if you can break the perspective of you being the same and not being able to do it, maybe you can try portraying yourself as a different person by changing your usual outfits to something different. Your mentality plays a huge role in your daily tasks.
3. It helps to be more attentive in class.
>For example, by using a costume, making you think you’re a whole new completely different person, you tend to be the person you set your mind to be. This also applies to the problems solving skills. If you were to put on a doctor’s outfit, you would think yourself to be as someone smart.
Until my next sharing,
